Michigan Aerospace Corporation has an extensive
history in the field of tunable Fabry-Perot Interferometer technology
dating back to 1987 and the HRDI instrument, which continues to
operate on orbit to date. We continue to drive Fabry-Perot technology
to the cutting edge, producing tunable etalons for both ground and
space based applications, cryogenic, high vacuum environments, and
most recently developing lightweight, space qualified etalons utilizing
the latest techniques in Silicon Carbide casting and machining technologies.
Additionally, Michigan Aerospace is currently working on enhancements
to our etalon design which will culminate in the fabrication and
qualification of an etalon that will perform to specifications under
dynamic vibrational conditions aboard an aircraft.
